Commercial Content Director
Victoria White is Commercial Content Director at Hearst Magazines UK and has been an editor for almost 20 years. She began her career as a writer at Inside Soap magazine before moving to Australia, aged 24, to launch a new TV magazine there. She then moved to LA where she became a Hollywood reporter for a number of years interviewing A-list actors such as George Clooney before returning to the UK to write for young women’s magazines B and Company. Victoria became editor of Company in 2003 and relaunched the brand in 2011 to critical success winning several industry awards for the redesign. More recently she has advised Good Housekeeping on its digital strategy and has since been appointed into a newly created role of Commercial Content Director for Hearst Magazines UK. Her most recent project has been overseeing the launch of Asda’s new magazine Good Living.
She is Chair of the Editorial Training Council for the PPA and has made numerous appearances on radio and TV including being a guest judge for five years on Britain’s Next Top Model. She is also a regular guest lecturer in media at Universities including Cardiff, UCLAN and Sheffield.
